IE defaults to run intranet sites in Compatibility Mode. Since accessing your system internally is through an intranet site, IE is likely running the site in Compatibility View Mode unless you have turned Compatibility Mode off.
To turn Compatibility mode off:
- Go to your Internet Settings, then click on "Compatibility View Settings"
- Uncheck the box that says "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View"
